LOG TRUSSES
Log trusses will add character to your living areas, but the real beauty of log

support for the ridge beam, therefore creating the open spans often desired in

need for a log truss because you have a certain amount of rooms needed for
functionality of the home, so these walls can create the support needed for the
ridge beam or purlins. Don’t be afraid to mix and match with log rafters, log
purlins, log trusses,
timber frame rafters, timber frame purlins and
timber frame trusses. A combination of logs and timbers can create a unique roof
style.
To keep the cost down, you may even choose to use conventional lumber yard
trusses in bedroom and bath areas and go with the log trusses or timber frame
trusses in the great room or living areas. Most home plans are convertible to
just about any roof design to fit your personality and your budget.
